Two smiling women, one with dark curly hair and the other with a styled mohawk, sit close together on a wooden bench near a window. One woman has tattoos on her arm and hand, and both women are showing affectionate and joyful expressions.

Healing is never one-size-fits-all.

These are the areas where I have devoted years of study, lived experience, and deep listening.

Each reflects not only my training, but also my passion for supporting LGBTQ+, lesbian, transgender, neurodivergent, and trauma-impacted lives.

Trauma & Shame Recovery

Shame teaches us to hide. Trauma teaches us to brace. Both can make you feel small, unworthy, or unsafe in your own body.

My PhD research focused on helping LGBTQ clients recover from shame, and I carry that work forward in every session. Together, we’ll create a space where shame no longer dictates your story. A place where the nervous system can exhale, where your body can begin to trust safety again.

Recovery isn’t about erasing what happened—it’s about reclaiming the parts of you that were silenced, and remembering the vitality that’s always been yours.

LGBTQ+, Lesbian & Transgender Support

As a queer therapist, this is at the heart of my work. I support lesbian clients navigating relationships and belonging, transgender clients at every stage of identity and transition, and LGBTQ+ folks working through the complexities of divorce or separation.

In the late 1990s, I helped pioneer CU Boulder’s LGBTQ Studies Certificate—one of the country’s first programs of its kind. Since then, I’ve published in LGBTQ studies and remained committed to making therapy a place where queer and trans lives are centered, affirmed, and celebrated.

Here, you don’t have to explain why it matters. You don’t have to hide your truth. All of who you are is welcome.

Neurodivergence & Narcissistic Abuse Recovery

Neurodivergence often means moving through the world in constellations instead of straight lines—sensitive, perceptive, alive to truths others miss. Yet too often, you’ve been told you’re “too much,” “too sensitive,” or “not enough.”

I see neurodivergence as wisdom, not deficit. In our work, we’ll honor your nervous system’s intelligence and learn ways to support its unique rhythms.

For survivors of narcissistic abuse, the journey is often about untangling manipulation, gaslighting, and loss of self. Together, we’ll focus on restoring boundaries, rebuilding self-trust, and reclaiming your intuition as the compass it’s always been.

Anxiety, Grief & Loss

Anxiety and grief are not signs of weakness—they are the body and spirit trying to process overwhelm.

Whether you’re grieving a person, a relationship, or a version of yourself you had to let go, therapy is a space to honor that loss. We’ll slow down, listen closely, and allow grief its sacred time.

For anxiety, I draw on mindfulness, yoga, and somatic practices to help your body remember what calm feels like. Many clients leave feeling lighter, steadier, and more able to face life with courage.
